This blog started as an outlet for a nice bit of fiction every now and then, but more of my real life or real memories keep appearing. Take it all with a grain of salt, though.

Oh, c'mon, DF... would I really write a whole blog entry just so that I could put in a few puns? Would I?

You halfway admitted it in the last line, but I submit that this entire idea, and the blog entry that followed, were all just one big setup for the puns

The direction in which I plan to go is to offer a new way of appreciating the AFOL (adult fan of Lego) experience. Most of the current Lego blogs focus on show-and-tell... whereas I would like to feature more "tell" about different Lego-related topics and, naturally, a lot of "show" of my own content.
I don't mean to say that I wouldn't open the doors to other builders, but the primary focus would be my creations and writing about my experiences... the community aspects that so many websites focus on won't be my top priority.
As far as attracting readers to my blog... good blogging strategies will have to suffice, since paid advertisements might not be within my budget. ;)
...and I'll try to offer cute little pink umbrellas and palm trees from time to time.

There are a lot of lego blogs already out there (which of course you know). Most of the ones I've seen that are high-traffic sites feature news and MOCs contributed from a large group of builders. They feature contests, vignettes, and photos from big lego conferences, etc. Some other blogs may focus on a particular theme (castle lego or pirate lego). I am wondering what direction you will go in, and what type of content you will have. If you are planning to post about your own building, how are you planning to attract readers? I, for one, am excited about this idea. And the idea of little pink umbrellas and palm trees.
